Portis out 4-6 weeks
Washington Redskins veteran running back Clinton Portis will miss at least the next four-to-six weeks with a groin injury.
Portis has a third degree groin separation, meaning the bone is actually hanging away from his body.
Some rumors are floating around that Portis’ season is done and that he will be placed on injured reserve.
Those same reports also are claiming that Portis has played his last NFL game in a Washington uniform.
Expect backup Ryan Torain, a long-time Mike Shanahan favorite, to get pretty much all of the work in his absence.
