Haynesworth sent home from practice
Washington Redskins head coach sent star defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth home from practice for disciplinary reasons that he would not disclose to the media.
It’s been a rough week for Haynesworth, who was already fined $10,000 by the league office for his involvement in an incident during Monday night’s loss to the New York Giants.
In fact, it’s been a rough season in general for Haynesworth.
The star signed a seven-year contract worth $100 million in the offseason, a move the Redskins hoped would vault them into the playoff hunt. It hasn’t exactly worked out as planned.
Instead, Haynesworth has under-performed much of the season on a team that is floundering at the bottom of the NFL. He has also suffered several injuries and missed a couple of games.
